Event-Driven Journal Review
A 90-minute deep read of two to four weeks of your trades, annotated against scheduled and surprise market events.
Who it is for
Discretionary traders, prop-desk juniors, and serious retail participants who already record entries, exits, and rationale — and want those records examined against the calendar of releases that actually moved prices.
Result
You leave with a written brief covering: which events repeatedly coincided with plan drift; where size or timing changed after a headline rather than after your setup; and three concrete questions to answer in the next trading week.
What is included
- Pre-session intake of your journal export or scanned notes (PDF, spreadsheet, or photographed pages)
- Overlay of major scheduled events for your trading window (UK and US data, central bank decisions, earnings for names you held)
- Live 90-minute review — remote video or at our Leeds office
- Written carry-forward notes within two business days
What is excluded
- Trade recommendations or “signals”
- Portfolio management or order placement
- Continuous monitoring between sessions
Process
- You send journal material at least 48 hours before the appointment.
- We prepare an event timeline for the weeks under review.
- We walk the timeline together, pausing on contested decisions.
- You receive the written brief and may ask clarifying questions by email for five business days.
Duration and delivery
Ninety minutes live, plus preparation on our side. Remote sessions use a private video link; office sessions are held at Level 11, 69 Albion Street, Leeds LS1 5AP.
Preparation
Bring honest notes — including losing days. Incomplete journals still work if you can reconstruct the main events and your state of mind at the time.
Constraints
We do not review accounts we cannot understand in context (for example, highly automated strategies with no discretionary decisions). Cryptocurrency-only journals are accepted only when event framing is clear.
Pricing
From £420 per session. Longer lookbacks or multi-asset journals may be quoted higher after we see the material.
